Social service groups must learn cost-effective compliance, RAND says

Nonprofit social service providers spend large amounts of time and money complying with stiff reporting requirements from funders, a new RAND Corporation study says.

In an in-depth look at one Pennsylvania agency`s experience, RAND says employees spent nearly half their time writing reports, tracking expenses, attending meetings and collecting other information needed for compliance reports from funders.
